Is my dictation private?
You have full control. VoxInk runs speech-to-text locally on your machine — no internet required. When you use custom templates with cloud processing, PII redaction detects sensitive information locally and replaces it with tokens before anything reaches the cloud. Real values are restored on your machine after — the cloud never sees your PII.
Can I use my own AI provider?
Yes. VoxInk supports any speech transcription or AI model provider via API. Use your own self-hosted model, connect a cloud provider, or use the built-in local engine. Switch between providers in settings. No vendor lock-in.
What languages are supported?
VoxInk supports over 90 languages with automatic detection. You can also pin a specific language in settings. Cross-language translation is available — dictate in one language and get the output in English. Great for when your native tongue isn't English but your notes need to be.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes. VoxInk has full Windows 11 support with system tray integration, hotkey detection, and clipboard pasting. Download the Windows beta from the download page.

How does PII redaction work?
When redaction is enabled on a template, VoxInk uses a local AI model to detect personally identifiable information — names, addresses, phone numbers, and other sensitive identifiers — and replaces them with tokens before your text is sent to the cloud for AI processing. After the cloud returns the formatted result, VoxInk restores the real values locally. The cloud AI never sees your actual PII. Available on Premium plans.
